THE OLD PACKHOUSE MARKET

The largest and most colourful market in the Northland region is right here in the Bay of Islands! Food producers, delicious bread, pastries, local cheeses, honey producers, olive oils, wines and so much more. It really is a foodie paradise!

Predominantly for local Northland growers, it is a place where they can interact and sell their fresh, artisan produce direct to the consumers. And importantly the market has always been a meeting place for the community, where locals and visitors can gather, sample the best of what Northland has to offer and enjoy some great Far North hospitality.

It is also a place for the talented artists and crafters of Northland to display and discuss their products or services.

Saturday Market: Fresh Produce mainly Northland grown, Northland made products, local arts and crafts, plus live music and natural healing – approx 100 vendors

Sunday Market: Includes some of the Saturday offerings but a more eclectic mix with upcycled fashion, retro and vintage – approx 30 vendors.

Friday Night Foodie Market: From 4pm till 8pm every Friday evening. A variety of street food vendors and a licensed bar with local wines and beer.

The Old Packhouse Cafe is open from 6am daily and follows the same ethos as the markets, with a focus on locally sourced and produced. There is always fabulous food and hospitality on offer at the cafe, with rustic charm, warm cosy fireplaces and delicious coffee. The Packhouse Butchery/Deli is open Wednesday to Sunday with good quality meats, homemade sausages, chorizo, fresh & smoked fish, terrines and more.
