EVENT INFORMATION

Everything you need to know to book your tickets for the Matariki experiences and events

MATARIKI EVENT TICKETS

Go to our EVENT PAGE for all events details. All festival run events are also listed and ticketed via Eventfinda.

Some events, tours, or workshops are ticketed via the venue or tour operator. Check the Event Page for links and details.

Only purchase from the authorized ticket agent. ‘Reseller’ sites such as Viagogo are scam sites that sell tickets at inflated prices that have been purchased on stolen credit cards. No Viagogo tickets will be permitted entry to events. Likewise, don’t buy from someone on Facebook, these are almost always scam artists. New Zealand events are being targeted heavily at the moment as we are one of the few places in the world able to hold events. You have been warned!

In the case of government restrictions due to COVID, events will be postponed to a future date. In the case of ticketed events, all ticket-holders will be entitled to a full refund if they are unable to attend on the new date.

Access and Inclusivity

All festival run events are listed and ticketed via Eventfinda.

We want to make sure everyone can enjoy our events. Every venue that is participating in the Matariki Festival has wheelchair access and facilities.

Fullers Great Sights ferries welcome passengers on board their cruises and tours who need special assistance. They will do their best to help you so you can enjoy your time in the Bay of Islands. Click here for further info on ferry accessibility.

Many local motels and hotels have excellent access facilities. Please check the Accommodation page for details.

Safety at Festival Events

YOUR SAFETY IS OUR PRIORITY

Any patron who is exhibiting signs of intoxication, or whose behaviour may endanger others, cause harm to the venue / environment or serious offence to others will be asked to leave.

If you feel unsafe at any time and for any reason, please approach one of our staff, security or crowd care volunteers for assistance.

All major festival-run events will have security, crowd care and First Aid on site.
