Mānawatia a Puanga Matariki Whānau Event

Te Rūnanga o Ngāti Rēhia is proud to present our Mānawatia a Puanga Matariki Whānau Event, a two-day celebration honoring Matariki.

From Saturday 22 July to Sunday 23 July 2023, join us at the historic Kororipo Heritage Basin in Kerikeri as we celebrate this special time of remembrance, rejuvenation, and the joy of new beginnings under the glow of the Matariki stars.

Over the course of the weekend, immerse yourself in various activities from making a pārō and a kōauau, participating in a ki-o-rahi game, witnessing local kura kapa haka, to listening to pūrākau.

On Sunday, join us for a scenic walk to Kirikōkai, enjoy stargazing, and warm yourself with our hot braziers. This is a time for us to connect, remember, and look forward to the future together. We also have delicious hāngī prepared with love to be shared and enjoyed.
