MĀHA RESTAURANT
“When you come to Māha, you are welcomed into ‘our place’ or our ‘whare’, where our manaakitanga means you are cared for in body, mind and spirit!” Ming & Diane
Māha Restaurant is located in the subtropical gardens of Wharepuke, a creative enclave of art, dining, workshops and walks, nestled close to the famous Stone Store in Kerikeri, Bay of Islands. The creative atmosphere translates through into the amazing food designed by chef Ming, who was executive chef at Chow, Dojo and Ancestral before opening The Orange Dining Room in Swan Lane, Wellington with Diane. Here Ming won Chef of The year and Best Dish of the Year.
Last year’s dish was a huge hit and we know foodies will be wowed again with Ming and Diane’s offering of Cedar wood smoked local Snapper scented with kawakawa, miso and turmeric plus grilled eel in a manuka soy glaze served with steamed koshihikari rice with horopito and fresh NZ wasabi.
Try this with the suggested local wine match, Fat Pig Sauvignon Blanc 2020 (Kerikeri).
This will be available as a special for a limited time only and we highly recommend you put Māha Restaurant on your ‘must do’ list this Matariki!
