Join us at the Waitangi Mountain Bike Park for a Twilight Ride this Matariki!

Head to the Waitangi Mountain Bike Hub to celebrate Matariki with an evening of lights, bikes, hot kai, music, reflection and winter magic.

Decorate yourself and your bike with fairy lights, glow gear, reflective items and anything that shines before joining a relaxed family-friendly twilight ride.

The twilight ride will be approximately 2km / 30 minutes, suitable for families and young riders along the flat gravel road leading into the park. Riders depart at dusk, allowing participants to become familiar with the route before returning in darkness with the lights shining the way.

Bring your bike, helmet, lights, warm layers and whānau. No helmet, no ride.

Free bike hire from Paihia Mountain Bikes is limited, so please arrive early if you need a bike.
Fairy lights available to decorate your bike, but if you have a headtorch, please bring it too.

Not into biking? No problem! The hub will be buzzing with great tunes, hot kai, and it the perfect space to connect with your community and reflect on the year that has passed.
